Do wrought Iron chandeliers go with traditonal 18th Century furniture?

Maybe it would be called a coachman’s lantern style sort of. It has candles in it where you put the small bulbs. This isn’t mediterranian (sp?) is it? It said traditional. My furniture is cherry 18th Century. Is it compatible?
